By collecting a fetal DNA sample directly from your arm into the tube, the Peekaboo Click device eliminates multiple sources of potential contamination with male DNA. With just one easy “click” your sample is collected directly into the tube in just a few minutes—hands-free!
Place Peekaboo Click on your upper arm. The adhesive side will stick to your arm so you can relax while your sample is collected.
Press the button all the way down until you hear a “click.” You may not feel anything, but in 1-2 minutes your sample will begin to collect in the tube.
When the tube is full, remove Peekaboo Click, and return the sample to our lab in the prepaid expedited shipping envelope.
A: With Peekaboo, all that is required for testing is a fetal DNA source. This source can be provided by a small blood sample from the mother. The sample can be provided as early as 6 weeks into a pregnancy. Our all-female lab technicians will carefully handle the DNA sample throughout every step of the early gender testing process.
Using the latest technology, we extract fetal DNA in the mom’s bloodstream, which appears in the first few weeks of pregnancy. Then, we can detect if that fetal DNA contains the male (Y) chromosome, indicating that you’re expecting a boy! If not, you’re pregnant with a baby girl!
A: The collection process from start to finish only takes around 15-20 minutes. When it comes time to collect your blood sample, you may notice that for the first few minutes, no blood has been collected in the device. There’s no need to worry. In many cases, it takes a couple minutes before blood from the arm begins to flow freely into the collection device. Be patient and refrain from pressing or squeezing around the collection site, as this can disrupt the natural flow and potentially cause bruising.
A: The Peekaboo early gender test is absolutely safe for both pregnant women and their babies-to-be. Peekaboo products utilize a type of non-invasive prenatal testing that allows mothers to accurately determine whether they will have a boy or girl. All that is required for testing is a small blood sample from the mother.
A: When using the Peekaboo Click test, remember to stand up straight and keep your arm relaxed. An upright posture ensures that your arm’s natural blood flow is optimized, promoting better circulation. By standing straight, you also allow gravity to assist in the collection process.
Keeping the arm relaxed can also be helpful when gender testing at home. Much like what you are told when donating blood, keeping the muscles in the arm relaxed reduces the likelihood of blood vessel constriction.
