Peekaboo Click At a Glance

With Peekaboo’s Click At-Home Gender Test, you’ll receive an easy-to-use kit in the mail that lets you collect a small blood sample from your arm with a Click device. Using the Click test to collect a sample couldn’t be easier – simply stick, click, and return. From start to finish, the collection process only takes 15-20 minutes, and it’s virtually painless. Once your sample has been received, you can expect next-day results.

Designed for Your Comfort

As exciting as this journey can be, we know that it can also be stressful. For moms who want a gentler experience, we recommend the Peekaboo Click. We developed our Click upper-arm collection device as a more comfortable alternative to traditional fingersticks.

Our Click device attaches securely to your arm with a gentle adhesive, so you can relax during collection. Then, with one “click” of the button, your sample will collect in the tube. There’s no mess or cleanup required, and the entire collection process happens within the device itself.

Trustworthy & Backed by Science

Peekaboo Click early gender DNA tests work by collecting cell-free fetal DNA directly from your arm into the tube. Fetal DNA helps us determine sex based on the presence (or absence) of a Y chromosome. If the DNA carries a Y chromosome, it’s a baby boy. If the DNA does not carry a Y chromosome, you’re having a girl! The Click’s streamlined collection method eliminates multiple sources of potential contamination, including male DNA that can skew results.

Peekaboo Click Tips

When using the Peekaboo Click arm device, you may notice that it takes a few minutes before blood starts to collect inside the tube. This is totally normal! In many cases, it takes 1-2 minutes before blood from the arm flows freely into the collection device. We know you’re eager to get your results, but be patient. Avoid pressing or squeezing around the collection site. Stay standing and keep your arm relaxed for good blood flow.

Peekaboo Lancet At a Glance

The Peekaboo Lancet is our original at-home gender DNA test. The Lancet uses a finger-prick blood collection method that’s quick, easy, and typically only causes low to mild discomfort. Once you’ve collected your sample in the tube we provide, according to the kit’s instructions, just slip your sealed kit into the prepaid mailer and send it off to our labs. Once your sample has been received, you can expect next-day results.

Minimal Pain

The Lancet’s finger-prick method involves minimal pain. Most moms describe it as a minor poke or small, quick pinch. You can minimize pain even more by choosing the best collection site – usually the side of the finger.

Accurate & Affordable

Our Peekaboo Lancet offers at-home gender DNA testing at an accessible price point without sacrificing accuracy. Our gender blood test is proven to be over 99% accurate* starting at 6 weeks in clinical trials. Like with the Peekaboo Click, the Lancet method uses cell-free fetal DNA to determine sex based on the presence (or absence) of a Y chromosome. Because the finger-prick method involves exposing your sample before it’s collected in the tube, there is a low risk of male DNA contamination.

Peekaboo Lancet Tips

Using the Lancet method is all about blood flow. Good blood flow reduces the likelihood that you’ll need to prick your finger more than once. We recommend swinging your arms in gentle circles before you test to stimulate blood circulation. You can also open and close your hand in a repetitive movement to help blood flow.

Needle vs. Lancet: Comparing Both At-Home Test Options

Choosing between the Click and Lancet really comes down to personal comfort. Our Peekaboo Click Device is designed for minimal discomfort with an easy-to-use click tool that collects your sample from your arm with virtually no pain. The Peekaboo Lancet requires a quick finger prick, which can be minimally painful.

Two Methods, Same Accurate Results

Whether you go with the Peekaboo Click arm device test or our Lancet test, you can expect reliable results. Our labs use the most advanced DNA extraction technology available to test your sample with an over 99% accuracy* rate.

Both methods reduce the risk of male DNA contamination, though the Peekaboo Click has almost no contamination risk, while the Lancet method does carry a low-to-medium risk of DNA contamination.
